In celebration of this journey towards progress, the official launch of Ellucian ReStart Program - a new initiative to help bridge the skill gap for individuals in India returning to the workforce after a pause in their careers. Our new six-month program provides resources and support including a dedicated mentor, to help individuals in India transition back into thriving careers in technology.
The Consultant uses programming skills and knowledge of customer business challenges to provide outstanding service to the Ellucian customer community. The work ranges from product troubleshooting, providing needed direction and break/fix support to customer on the Ellucian product. This is a customer-facing position that requires good consulting skills.
As a Restart consultant, you will work with a team of analysts who are striving to support our customer base. The incumbent will be part of ActionLine Degreeworks Support team who are responsible for supporting and resolving issues faced by customer (both internal and external). We are looking for people who will challenge the norm, who want to take accountability and will come together as a team to enable and delight our customers. Our offices are state-of-the-art and provide the best equipment. Working in a collaborative environment, we encourage regular meetings where people share their ideas and thoughts.
Where you will make an impact
* Provide in depth support to Ellucian clients and employees in troubleshooting and resolving issues
* Document issues and solutions within Ellucian's tracking system and follow issue progress through resolution
* Develop effective working relationships with other Ellucian staff
* Work closely with other Ellucian Action Line team members to deliver outstanding support for clients
* Work both independently as needed and as an active, contributing member of a team.
* Actively contribute and work to continually improve customer self-help through the publication of technically and functionally accurate knowledge base articles
* Engage in continuous learning and adoption of new concepts, technologies and functionality.
* Oriented towards problem-solving and analyzing impacts, both technically and functionally.
What you will bring
* Familiarity with Unix/Linux command line navigation. Administration will be a added advantage.
* Familiarity with SQL and relational database systems such as Oracle
* Experience in Customer Support or wiling to start with working in customer support
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to take initiative and follow through on commitments made to clients
* Below may be something good to have / added advantage :
* Some familiarity with SSL and other server administration concepts
* Some familiarity with REST APIs
* Understanding of application servers like Tomcat
* Knowledge of Cloud concepts
* Basic understanding of computer programming, knowledge in any one programming language
Qualifications:
* Individuals with a minimum 4 years career break
* Willingness to learn and grow

* The successful candidate will need to visit the office as per the hiring manager's instructions; this will not be a fully remote position. This is to facilitate effective learning, collaboration, and ensure the necessary support during the Restart program tenure.
