Overview: * Ability to lift heavy bags more than 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation * Work outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions * Attend 4 days of Basic Station Training * Flexible schedule required, including availability to work split shifts including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays * This is a full-time position, starting at $13 an hour * This is not a Department of Transportation safety-sensitive position Please complete the on-line application. SkyWest Ramp Agents come from a wide range of backgrounds, education, interests, and experience. * Be at least 18 years old * Possess a valid unrestricted state-issued driver's license * Have a High School Diploma or GED * Position-specific clearances include but are not limited to FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs clearances required * Able to pass a pre-placement background check and drug screen * Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship Qualifications: Ramp Agents are responsible for processing baggage between baggage areas in the airport facilities and aircraft, as well as receiving and dispatching aircraft. * Loading and unloading aircraft and carts * Stacking and unstacking baggage in aircraft * Complete safety checklists for motorized equipment * Drive and operate motorized equipment (e.g., conveyor belt) * Read and interpret aircraft load sheets, checked baggage tags * Escort passengers and special needs customers safely and courteously * Ensure compliance with SkyWest and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and policies
