Overview: * Lift heavy bags over 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation * This position requires you to work outside in all weather conditions * Attend 4 days of Basic Station Training * This position requires a flexible schedule, including split shifts that may occur during early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays * Part-time and full-time positions may be available * Starting at $15.16 an hour * This is not a Department of Transportation safety-sensitive position * #zr * #SWA123 Please complete the online application. Qualified applicants will be contacted. Responsibilities: We are looking for individuals excited to take on new challenges, especially within the airline industry! SkyWest Ramp Agents come from a wide range of backgrounds, education, interests, and experience. * 18 years of age or older * Possess a valid, unrestricted state-issued driver's license * Have a High School Diploma or GED * Position-specific clearances include, but are not limited to FAA, TSA, Port Authority, and U.S. Customs clearances required * Pass a pre-placement background check and drug screen * Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship Qualifications: Ramp Agents are responsible for processing baggage between baggage areas in the airport facilities and aircraft, as well as receiving and dispatching aircraft. * Loading and unloading aircraft and carts * Stacking and unstacking baggage in aircraft * Complete safety checklists for motorized equipment * Drive and operate motorized equipment (e.g., conveyor belt) * Read and interpret aircraft load sheets, checked baggage tags * Escort passengers and special needs customers safely and courteously * Ensure compliance with SkyWest and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and policies
