				Overview:

The Registered Radiologic Technologist is responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation to patients fordiagnostic purposes and fulfilling the goals and objectives of Advanced Pain Care.

Responsibilities:

* Performs medical radiologic procedures using ionizing radiation. 
* Adhere to the principles of radiation protection for the client, self, and others. 
* Explain procedures to client and position the client properly. 
* Provide service to customers that is timely, responsive, courteous, positive, and promotes excellence. 
* Deliver quality service by using positive collaborative communication and problem solving with staff and physicians. 
* Operates diagnostic x-ray equipment in accordance with the prevailing quality and safety standards. 
* Maintains x-ray equipment in a clean and orderly manner and keeps designated area or room in a satisfactory arrangement to produce an optimal working environment. 
* Conducts all activities in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and promotes the highest standards of professional and ethical client care. 
* Respects client's rights and maintains confidentiality. 
* Updates knowledge and skills by attending in-services, conferences, and continuing education programs. 
* The following tasks are also considered essential functions of the position: 
* Lifting unspecified weights, depending on assignment requirements. 
* Bending and stooping to prepare equipment and materials for treating clients or managing the client's environment. 
* Transferring, turning and positioning clients and assisting clients in walking and moving from place to place.

Qualifications:

The Registered Radiologic Technologist is responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation to patients fordiagnostic purposes and fulfilling the goals and objectives of Advanced Pain Care.

* Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technology training program in an AMA approved school.
* Must be certified or eligible to be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
* Currently licensed in state where the technologist practices.
* A minimum of one year's experience as a Licensed Radiologic Technologist in a supervised setting within the past three (3) years.

Qualifications: 

* High school diploma or equivalent
* At least 18 years of age
* 1 year experience as a CNA in the last 3 years in a supervised setting preferred
* Current CPR in compliance with the American Heart Association standards
* Current CNA licensure in the State of Texas
* 1-year experience preferred
