Responsibilities:

Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) with Lab Experience - Family Medicine | Waukee, IA

A Family Medicine clinic in Waukee, Iowa is seeking a Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) with lab experience to join our outpatient care team. This role involves performing diagnostic imaging, supporting lab testing, and assisting with general clinical duties in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform digital X-rays using proper technical settings and radiation safety protocols.

* Ensure image quality, proper shielding, and accurate documentation in the EMR.

* Conduct point-of-care lab testing (e.g., flu, strep, urinalysis, glucose) and collect specimens for processing or transport.

* Maintain radiology and lab equipment, perform quality control, and assist with annual safety inspections.

* Educate and reassure patients and families about procedures.

* Support basic clinical functions such as vital signs, rooming patients, and assisting with first aid.

* Maintain a clean and compliant work environment in line with CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA, and other regulations.

* Complete required logs, reports, and referrals; provide information to regulatory agencies when needed.

* Participate in staff meetings, stay current with clinic communications, and contribute to team goals.

* Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations.

Qualifications:

* Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology.

* ARRT certification and current registration; must pass ARRT exam within 12 months if not already certified.

* Current Iowa (or applicable state) permit to practice radiologic procedures.

* BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).

* Mandatory Reporter certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).

* Phlebotomy or lab experience preferred.

* Previous clinical experience in a medical office setting preferred.

* Strong computer and data entry skills; EMR experience a plus.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

* Ability to understand, apply, and follow clinic guidelines, policies, and procedures.

* Proficiency in reading, writing, comprehending, and speaking fluent English.
