Responsibilities:

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiology Technologist to join our team at a Family Medicine Clinic in Iowa. This role is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, safety, and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine diagnostic radiologic procedures (X-rays) as ordered by providers

* Ensure proper patient positioning and image quality

* Maintain and operate radiology equipment in accordance with safety protocols

* Observe strict radiation safety guidelines for patients, staff, and self

* Obtain patient history and explain procedures clearly to ensure patient comfort

* Document procedures and upload images accurately within the EMR system

* Assist clinical team with patient care tasks as needed (e.g., rooming, vitals)

* Communicate effectively with physicians and clinical staff regarding imaging needs

* Maintain compliance with clinic policies, state regulations, and HIPAA standards

* Participate in ongoing education and certification updates

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent

* Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology

* Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

* Valid Iowa Permit to Practice Radiography (issued by the Iowa Department of Public Health)

* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

* Completion of Mandatory Reporter training (dependent adult and child abuse)

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills

* Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative clinical team

* Proficient in using electronic medical records and radiology systems
