Responsibilities:

Our busy Urgent Care Clinic in Altoona, IA is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiologic Technologist to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, flexible, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This role involves performing diagnostic imaging exams while also assisting with general clinical tasks to support overall patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform high-quality diagnostic X-rays in accordance with provider orders and safety protocols

* Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures with attention to comfort and safety

* Maintain accurate records and documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system

* Ensure proper function, cleanliness, and safety of radiology equipment

* Support urgent care clinical team with additional duties such as:

* Taking vital signs

* Rooming patients

* Assisting with procedures or specimen collection as needed

* Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, and radiation safety guidelines

* Maintain radiologic technologist licensure and certifications

* Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and team members to ensure seamless care

Qualifications:

* Current ARRT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) (required)

* Iowa Permit to Practice Radiography (required)

* Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program

* Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)

* Prior experience in urgent care, outpatient, or emergency setting preferred

* Strong patient service and communication skills

* Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment

* Willingness to assist in general clinical and administrative tasks when not performing X-rays
