The Radiologic Technologist I performs diagnostic radiographic exams in an ambulatory setting, working independently or alongside physicians to support high-quality patient care.
This role is responsible for preparing patients, operating x-ray equipment, and ensuring accurate, high-quality imaging while maintaining a safe and compassionate patient experience.
What You'll Do
* Prepare patients for radiographic procedures and provide attentive, age-appropriate care throughout the exam.
* Operate x-ray equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images following established protocols.
* Work independently in diagnostic rooms, adapting to varying clinical situations and patient needs.
* Demonstrate strong knowledge of radiographic equipment, safety standards, anatomy, and positioning techniques.
* Accurately process, label, and manage images within the EMR, RIS, and PACS systems.
* Collaborate with providers and care teams to ensure timely, seamless patient care.
* Maintain a safe environment while upholding all regulatory, quality, and infection-control standards.
QualificationsEducation
* Associate Degree - Preferred
* Graduate of an ARRT-approved Radiography Program - Required
Experience
* One year of experience in diagnostic radiology - Preferred
Licensure / Certification
Required (varies by location):
* NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient Department:
* Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT(R)
* NH Medical Group Office:
* Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT(R)
Preferred:
* Registry-eligible with ARRT in Radiography upon hire
* ARRT Radiography certification obtained within 6 months of hire (if applicable)
Additional Skills
* Strong knowledge of radiographic equipment, radiation safety, and imaging techniques
* Ability to modify care based on patient age and clinical needs
* Analytical and basic computer skills
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently
* Adaptability in fast-paced clinical environments with varied procedures
