Responsibilities:

As our Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech, RT) at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, you will help capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions. 

In the Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) role you will:

* Provide quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department. 
* Perform high-quality images and exams on patients while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs. 
* Act as a clinical resource to students, staff technologists and other hospital personnel. 
* Assure current standards of practice for the unit.
* Efficient interpretation of clinical information from clinical team meeting radiology needs of patients
* Thorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning respective to the order

Every day Rad Techs could perform any variety of imaging examinations such as 

 x-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, to name a few. RT's will also need to enjoy working directly with people as you play a huge role in the patient experience. 

To be successful in this role, you'll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging as a Rad Tech. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing precise results for timely and accurate diagnosis. 

Qualifications:

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified RT candidates will need the following: 

* Knowledgeable in all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging including Surgery and Trauma as required
* One year post certification experience required to evaluate and/or instruct student radiographers
* HS diploma or GED required
* Registered Technologist, Radiology-R.T. (R) (ARRT) required
* Current Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association required

Physical Requirements-Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly
