Responsibilities:
As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.
Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.
To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.
* Ensures a professional and responsive atmosphere by greeting patients, visitors, staff, and physicians promptly and courteously. Refers to each individual by name when appropriate. Screens individuals by requesting to see identification or visitor pass.
* Image Quality: Consistently produces quality images within hospital guidelines and department standards (i.e. patient safety, repeat rate, exam protocols, film processing, inc.)
* Documentation: Accurately completes documentation according to hospital and department guidelines, including exam performed, billing, film labeling, computer entry, etc. Performs other clerical duties as necessary (e.g. login of patients, filing films, etc.)
* Competency/Training: Maintains clinical competency assuming responsibility for upgrading skills through participation in inservice education and other continuing education activities. Participates in the training of departmental personnel and students.
* Infection Control: Assists MD and other staff in preparing for and performing procedures consistently following sterile technique, infection control guidelines and department standards.
* Workflow: Evaluates personal and departmental work volume and flow to ensure efficient departmental patient care. Prioritizes work according to urgency and resources. Responds effectively in emergency situations.

Minimum:
* Satisfactorily completed a formal Radiologic Technology training program accreditedthrough the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) and the California Department of Public Health, Radiation
Health Branch
* Medical Radiographer: CA, upon hire and
* Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
* Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire and
* Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech: CA, within 90 Days
* Completed venipuncture training and education as specified 106985 (d) of California Health and Safety Code
