Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center is an 881-bed quaternary care academic medical center that is a joint venture between Baylor College of Medicine and CHI St. Luke's Health. Located in the Texas Medical Center, the hospital is the home of the Texas Heart(r) Institute, a cardiovascular research and education institution founded in 1962 by Denton A. Cooley, MD. Responsibilities:
Position Summary
Assists patients and technologists in assigned areas of Radiology (Rad/Fluoro, Angiography, Ultra‐sound, CT, MRI, or Mammography). Responsibilities include inputting exam requests, organizing films and requests for interpretation, maintaining adequate supplies and linen, and assisting in the film library or front desk. Provides, as directed, oral and rectal contrast, Participates in direct patient care and educates patients with regards to exam being performed. Appropriately schedules any same day add‐on procedures.
Position Responsibilities:
* Assists the technical areas by dressing patients for exams and preparing the exam rooms. Provides preliminary information to patients regarding exam to be performed.
* Monitors patients' conditions, reports any problems to nurse or renders first aid. May perform ECG, electrocardiograms.
* Inputs requests on the computer, retrieves films/images from the processor and places sequencing labels on films/images and Prepares films/images for delivery to the hospital in a timely fashion
* Maintains adequate supplies by ordering from purchasing, central supply and pharmacy. Checks expiration date of supplies, keeping with TJC (The Joint Commission) rules and regulations
* Keeps all areas stock with linen and removes dirty linen
* Assists at the front desk as needed. Answers telephones, check‐in patients and input request as well as same day add‐on scheduling
* Makes copies of X-rays as requested.
* May assist in the film library when available. Performs computerized data entry for maintaining film checkout and returns. Assists mailing back outside films. May assist digitizing images when needed.

Education and Licensure:
* High School Diploma/GED
* CPR/BLS certified within 90 days of employment and maintained current
Minimum Experience:
* One (1) year related experience
