What You Can Expect:

* Available Schedules:Flex/PRN
* Variable call requirements dependent on FTE. 
* Variation of work daily between outpatient, inpatient, ED, fluoroscopy, OR and Endo
* Equipment: C-Arm (GE), portables (CareStream), Fluoroscopy/stationary unit (Siemens)

* Busiest Emergency Department in the state of Idaho with focus on new trauma expansion. 

Minimum Qualifications for this Role:

* Education:  Associate degree or experience in lieu of degree
* Licenses/Certifications:
* American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider certification.
* American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.

Responsibilities:

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing a full scope of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, acquires and analyzes data needed for diagnosis at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. Independently operates x-ray equipment for diagnostic and/or therapeutic purposes.

* Technologists will educate patient, family or provider as to the extent and detail of each procedure, including informed consent as well as pre-and post-procedure instructions. 

* Technologist is responsible for the preparation of an adequate, complete, and current medical record for every individual evaluated or treated as a patient. Records must contain sufficient information to identify the patient, support the diagnosis, justify the treatment and document in the electronic health record. 

* Practice radiation safety guidelines specific to ALARA policy (As Low As Reasonably Achievable). 

* Participate in call rotation as needed. 

* Performs daily quality control and equipment inspections as required. 

* Prepares patient, room, and operates all fluoroscopy and or portable fluoroscopy equipment without supervision. 

* Assist provider during a variety of invasive procedures. 

* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Education: Associate degree or experience in lieu of degree 
* Experience: 0 years relevant experience 
* Licenses/Certifications: 
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
* American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
