Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing all aspects of general, neuro, and interventional radiography in multiple settings on multiple patient types. Settings include but are not limited to the ED, OR, IR, inpatient and outpatient, with little or no supervision.
* Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others.
* Displays competency performing procedures; follows every step for taking an x-ray (two patient identifier, gel in/gel out, etc).
* Always produces high quality films. Accurately marks radiographs with R's and L's, supine and upright (if
appropriate); and assures that patient information is clearly visible.
* Competent in one or more areas of Diagnostic Radiology (fluoro, portables, OR, Litho, ED/Trauma)
* Understands the interrelation and operates the various computer systems such as RCO, Radnet, PACS and other hospital systems
Qualifications:
Minimum
High School Diploma/GED
Completion of approved American College of Radiology: Radiologic Technologist Program
AZ DHS Bureau of Special Licensing MRAD:AZ - Certified Radiologic Technologist
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
Preferred
Six months radiology experience
