Overview:
Take ownership of a high fidelity end-to-end model & simulation for various phased array and radar applications; develop and integrate signal processing functions and conduct sub-system trade studies; act as system engineer to guide architecture design decisions and define requirements on proposals; apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of such engineering applications and products such as Radio Frequency (RF) and digital applications.
Responsibilities:
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Design RF Circuits using simulation tools, generate BOM, and identify necessary equipment and components to perform test.
* Interface with a layout engineer for PCB tape-out.
* Tune and troubleshoot RF Circuits to meet spec requirement in self-guided manner.
* Provide Input power, VSWR, & filtering requirements to System Engineering.
* Provide FIT against BOM list and evaluate possible failure paths.
* Assist Product transition from Engineering to Manufacturing, including writing Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) and assembly of RF Circuits.
* Provide Engineering support for existing products in Operation.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
* B.S. in Electrical Engineering or STEM Degree (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math).
* Two (2) years of experience RF circuit simulation experience.
* ADS/AWR/SPICE circuit simulation experience or equivalent
* This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
* Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
* MS degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
* Five (5) + years technical research experience.
* Five (5) + years of design experience in RF components, such as combiner, filter, switch, mixer, circulator, VCO, Power Amp and antenna.
* HFSS simulation experience.
* Familiar with thermal consideration in RF components.
* PCB/chip-on-board design, test, and layout experience.
* MTBF calculation and circuit failure analysis experience.
* MMIC design and experience in interacting with Foundry.
* GaN, GaAs, InP or LDMOS semiconductor experience.
* Load-Pull experience.
* Experience with Product transition from Engineering to Manufacturing, including writing Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) and assembly of Power Amplifier..
* Good oral and written communication skills to interface with key internal and external customers.
* Active DOD Secret Clearance.

Salary Range: Radio Frequency Engineer I: $69,832 - $101,325.81 annually. Radio Frequency Engineer II: $89,755.50 - $134,633.25 annually Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
