Overview: CHI Health St. Francis was established in Grand Island Neb. in 1887. Today our hospital is a regional referral center with more than 100 physicians and more than 1100 employees working together to build a healthier community. Our goal is to provide patients with high-quality medical care close to home where they can be supported by their family friends and community. Responsibilities: *Sign on Bonus for full time $5,000* What you will do: * Greets patient utilizing AIDET, verifies patient in identification, reviews chart for proper radiation treatment parameters and physician prescriptions * Informs patients and families about the treatment process and answers questions * Prepares patients for treatment. Positions equipment according to plan * Takes portal films or IGRT scans to ensure treatment protocols are accurately set up and followed * Verifies proper dosage of ionizing radiation for patient as prescribed by physician * Monitors patient throughout treatment process by checking video monitors and intercom * Informs physician anytime patient experiences distress or side effects related to treatment process * Records each patients' treatment in EMR and proper notes for accurate treatment and set-up * Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the filed by reading appropriate journals, books, and other literature and attending related seminars, conferences and education opportunities. Qualifications: Education * Satisfactory completion of a JRCERT accredited Radiation Therapy Program Licenses & Certifications * ARRT (T) boards completion within in 6 month of hire * BLS from the American Heart Association required upon hire Knowledge, Skills & Abilities * Knowledge of linear accelerators and record and verify systems * Ability to operate radiation therapy equipment * Ability to manage patients * Ability to follow oral and written instructions HelloImaging ImagingNebraska #MissionCritical #LI-CHI
