				Overview:

Novant Health Radiation Oncology Department is seeking a Radiation Therapist. 

Applies ionizing radiation to the patient in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist. In addition to the duties of the Radiation Therapist I: Serves as a Super User for technology, Preceptor for new employees, providing training and mentorship, performs both CT and treatment procedures with a high level of proficiency, Involved in HDR QA or specialized treatment protocols, Demonstrates expertise in VisionRT, Simulation/IV Contrast, and new treatment devices or protocols, engages in at least 1 presentation/proposal to radiation leadership/physicians annually on cost savings, patient safety, or efficiency, ensuring that their ideas are heard and implemented, leads by example, promoting employee satisfaction through active involvement in process improvements.

Responsibilities:

* Oversee daily operations of the radiation oncology department, including treatment delivery, simulation, and patient flow
* Ensure safe, high-quality care in alignment with clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices
* Monitor patient volumes, throughput, and scheduling efficiency

Qualifications:

* Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
* Experience: One to two years of applicable experience, preferred.
* Licensure/certification/registration: ARRT in Radiation Oncology, ARRT (T) certification within 6 months of hire
*  BLS, required.
* Additional skills required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
