About the Opportunity:

This Full-Time, Day Shift Radiologic Technologist role offers the opportunity to perform a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures. You'll be instrumental in supporting our Emergency Room, clinics, surgical suites, special procedure rooms, and inpatient units, ensuring timely and accurate diagnoses.

Your expertise in operating advanced radiographic equipment and producing high-quality images will directly assist physicians in the accurate diagnosis of diseases and injuries, improving patient care every weekday.

A Glimpse into Your Daily Responsibilities:

Your work will be vital in ensuring optimal diagnostic quality and patient safety through efficient and compassionate processes, always adhering to departmental protocols and regulatory requirements. Key aspects of your role include:

* Precision Imaging & Operation: Expertly prepare and operate radiology equipment, ensuring optimal image quality (size, depth, detail) for each requested exposure, meticulously following physician orders and strict department protocols.
* Patient-Centered Care: Explain procedures clearly, patiently answer questions, and proactively ensure patient comfort and safety. Implement protective measures for patients, staff, and self against unnecessary radiation exposure.
* Quality & Safety Assurance: Employ consistent techniques and procedures to guarantee reliable results. Maintain equipment meticulously through thorough cleaning after each use.
* Comprehensive Patient Support: Deliver compassionate, age-appropriate care throughout radiological exams, procedures, and special procedures.
* Advocacy & Communication: Act as a critical link between patients and radiologists, offering comfort, protection, and expert communication. Respond effectively to emergency situations within your scope of authority.
* Accurate Documentation: Maintain precise patient records by documenting pertinent information in the patient chart and promptly advising nursing staff of any significant changes in a patient's condition observed in Diagnostic Imaging.
* Operational Excellence: Participate in incidental general office duties such as answering phones, scheduling, filing, managing patient records, ordering supplies, and assisting with equipment inventory.

Qualifications:

* Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
* Current Washington State Radiologic Technologist license.
* American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification (R).
* Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
