The Interventional Lab RN delivers specialized care and treatment to patients undergoing interventional/vascular procedures.  The staff is on-call for off shifts/weekends as scheduled.  Staff must be able to respond to the hospital's call

Responsibilities:

* Able to take call based on "on-call" policy.
* Strong EKG rhythm interpretation skills.
* Ability to provide leadership in Emergency or Code Blue roles.
* Maintain ability to perform in an assertive yet supportive manner when functioning with physicians in the procedural setting.
* Maintain knowledge of patient equipment and therapeutic modalities utilized in the Cath Lab.
* Maintain knowledge of medications and conscious sedation used in the Cath Lab.
* Complies with department policies regarding appropriate sterile technique and radiation safety.
* Participate in education, community activities and performance improvement projects.
* Oversees maintenance and provides troubleshooting of equipment.

Qualifications:

* Graduate of accredited nursing program
* Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa.
* Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within 3 months from hire date.
* Must possess and maintain current ACLS or Core certification or obtain within 3 months from hire date.
* Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English.
* Multicultural sensitivity.
* Microsoft Office - basic computer skills.
* Customer/patient focused.
* Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions.
* Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
