Elderwood at Lancaster is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to lead a Long-Term Care or Subacute unit within our skilled nursing facility.
This is a true leadership role - ideal for an RN who is confident in long-term care, experienced in leading CNA teams, and ready to take ownership of clinical quality, staff development, and day-to-day operations on the unit.

Compensation & Schedule
* Starting at $74,100 annually, with earning potential up to $104,000 based on experience
* Experienced RN leaders can earn more based on background
* Full-Time | Day Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Responsibilities:
Unit Manager (RN) - Skilled Nursing - What You'll Lead:
Unit Leadership & Team Oversight
* Provide 24-hour oversight of your assigned nursing unit
* Supervise, coach, and develop nursing staff - with a strong focus on CNA support and performance
* Set clear expectations for care delivery, accountability, and teamwork
Clinical Oversight & Resident Care
* Oversee development, implementation, and evaluation of resident care plans
* Monitor clinical indicators and proactively address resident needs
* Ensure high standards in documentation, infection control, and regulatory compliance
Family & Physician Communication
* Serve as a key point of contact for families and providers
* Communicate changes in condition and care plans clearly and professionally
* Address concerns and support service recovery when needed
Operations & Staffing
* Manage daily staffing, call-ins, and scheduling needs
* Participate in hiring, performance management, and staff development
* Conduct daily rounds to ensure quality and environment standards are met
Qualifications:
Unit Manager (RN) - Skilled Nursing - What We're Looking For:
* Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - New York State
* Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care setting
* Prior leadership experience (Charge Nurse, Unit Manager, Supervisor) required
* Strong ability to lead, coach, and hold staff accountable
* Experience working with CNA teams and developing newer staff
* Confidence in handling family communication, clinical oversight, and regulatory expectations
* Experience with dementia population strongly preferred
