What You Can Expect:
* Critical Care Transport that includes rotor, fixed wing, and ground transport
* Full time and part time options available
* Variable days/nights with a mix of 24 and 12 hour shifts. Includes holidays and weekends.
* Travel may be necessary between Boise, Wood River, and Twin Falls
Qualifications:
* Education: Nursing Degree
* Experience: 3 years' RN experience in a critical care and/or emergency department
* Licenses/Certifications:
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
* Current RN licensure from the State of Practice
* Current Valid Driver's License
* Rotor only: Due to aircraft weight restrictions, weight plus full flight suit and helmet cannot exceed 240 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
* CFRN = Certified Flight Registered Nurse; NRP = Neonatal Resuscitation Provider; TPATC = Transport Provider Advanced Trauma Certification
Responsibilities:
The Transport Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients during emergency ground and/or air transport.
* Requires substantial specialized knowledge, judgment and skill based upon the principles of biological, physiological, behavioral, and sociological sciences of all patient populations.
* Collaborates with other internal and external health care professionals during the treatment and transport of the critically ill or injured patients.
* Provides professional nursing services in the assessment, treatment and care of patients during transport. Will assess acute changes in patient conditions and respond with appropriate intervention.
* Uses critical thinking skills in making decisions regarding patient care.
* Works as a member of an independent or collaborative team using protocols or with the guidance of on-line medical control.
* Works in conjunction with a transport paramedic or a respiratory therapist to meet the needs of patients.
* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Education: Nursing Degree
* Experience: 3 years' RN experience in a critical care and/or emergency department
* Licenses/Certifications:
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
* Current RN licensure from the State of Practice
* Current Valid Driver's License
