Responsibilities:

The Sepsis Program Coordinator will work collaboratively with Providers nurses and interprofessional teams to ensure professional nursing standards, technical knowledge, skills and expertise required for the provision and continuity of comprehensive care to patients with sepsis and septic shock to improve the quality of care delivered and patient outcomes. Assist with application of evidence-based interprofessional practice in the clinical setting. Provide staff education and reinforce appropriate clinical practice applying the policies and guidelines from CommonSpirit Health and CHMC. Develop, revise, educate and ensure adherence to policies and procedures and overall plan of care to optimize outcomes. Function as an expert clinician, consultant, educator and leader in the care of the sepsis patient population.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

* Bachelor s Degree in Nursing or equivalent education and experience. Magnet Hospital:  BSN required.
* Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience and one (1) year of leadership experience.

Licensure:

* Registered Nursing License (RN) in state of practice, Basic Life Support (BLS), other credentials or credential modules may be required.
