This 134-bed community hospital is backed by the resources of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health's specialized services including a Level II Special Care Nursery and Midwives, enabling patients to stay close to come and still receive outstanding care.  St. Francis Family Birth Center offers expectant families personal attention and exceptional medical care. 

Our Labor & Delivery Unit has 8 beds plus 2 triage, our Mother/Baby Unit has 16 beds. We offer all private labor and delivery suites.  We are most proud of our excellent care and our ability to safely offer women a wide range of options

Job Summary

In this role, you will deliver care to women and newborns admitted to the Family Birth Center.  Implementing and assessing the patient plan of care in collaboration with physicians, interdisciplinary teams and the patient and family.

Job Requirements

 We are looking for a responsible and compassionate Registered Nurse with top-notch clinical skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. It is also important to display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to effectively educate patients and their families on the in-home healthcare process.

 Additional requirements for this role include:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Experience as a Registered Nurse preferred
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification or completion within 6 months of date of hire is required.  Electronic Fetal Monitoring offered National Certification Corporation (NCC), or American Nurses Credentialing Center certification is preferred.
Specialty certification preferred
