Responsibilities:
The Program Coordinator is responsible for assessing, planning, directing, implementing, coordinating and evaluating the effectiveness of the day-to-day operations of the Orthopedic program in accordance with facility policies, service line objectives, and clinical standards. Accountable for program accreditation and/or certification by regulatory bodies.
Schedule is days 8am-5pm Monday through Friday.
Qualifications:
In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified nursing candidates will need the following:
Education Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
* Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs
* Master's Degree preferred
Experience Requirements
* Five years experience in acute care
* Two years nursing experience in Orthopedics
* Experience with data analysis and performance improvement
* Experience with program coordination
* Previous leadership experience preferred
* Requires advance knowledge in nursing, evidence-based practice methods, and person-centered care concepts
* Knowledge of regulatory compliance and requirements
Licenses/Certification Requirements
* RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association.
* Certification in applicabale professional clinical specialty or nursing administration required upon hire or within 6 months (such as CNML)
Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
