Responsibilities: * About the OR: * The three, Quad City campuses feature 16 OR suites, 2 open heart rooms, and 2 urology rooms, all equipped to handle a wide range of surgical procedures in specialties such as cardiothoracic, vascular, robotics, orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, neurosurgery, urology, podiatry, and cataracts. * During orientation, UnityPoint Health offers a structured orientation centered around Peri-O 101 program through AORN - The Assoicate for Perioperative Registered Nurse, along with the TSAM model, which provides guidelines and education to ensure success in surgical services. * Additionally, UnityPoint Health offers development and professional growth opportunities through continued education. * Shift/Schedules Available: * Full and Part Time; Varied/Days (Shifts include 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, and 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) * About the Cath Lab: * Specialized hospital unit where minimally invasive procedures are performed to diagnose and treat heart conditions. Using catheters threaded through blood vessels, clinicians can assess heart function, identify blockages, and perform interventions like angioplasty and stent placement. Our multidisciplinary team includes nurses, technologists, and cardiologists who deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. We perform a wide range of procedures, from heart catheterizations to emergency interventions, while maintaining strict infection control protocols and utilizing advanced technologies like vascular lasers. The Cath Lab plays a vital role in both diagnosing heart disease and delivering life-saving treatments. * Shift/Schedules Available: * Full and Part Time; 6:00am-6:30pm (3-12 hr shifts) or 6:30am-4:00pm (4-10 hr shift) * About PACU (Bettendorf, Moline, Rock Island) * The PACU specializes in recovering patients of all ages from anesthesia after surgeries, as well as procedures in the Endoscopy and Cath Lab. Our nurses are BLS, PALS and ACLS certified and perform airway management and acute pain management. They are responsible for stabilizing patients before they transition to the next phase of care, whether returning to the ambulatory unit or being admitted for further treatment. The PACU offers 24/7 coverage, with two RNs available for on-call support. * Shift/Schedules Available: * (4) 8-hour shifts, Call 1 night/week + every 4th weekend * Will float to ambulatory to assist with admission/discharges as needed * About Endo (Rock Island) * The Endoscopy unit performs procedures like colonoscopies, bronchoscopies, EGDs, and ERCPs using flexible, camera-equipped instruments to diagnose and treat conditions in internal cavities and organs. The unit features advanced imaging and monitoring technology, staffed by specialized physicians, nurses, and techs who ensure patient safety, comfort, and precise outcomes. The team also manages food bolus cases and various other procedures, typically performed in Endo, the OR, or ICU. Nurses are certified in BLS, ACLS, and sedation, working with techs to provide 24/7 coverage. * Shift/Schedules Available: * (4) 8-hour shifts, Call 1 night/week + every 4th weekend * Will float to ambulatory to assist with admission/discharges as needed Qualifications: Requirements: * Diploma from an RN program. * Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state (IA and/or IL). Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state. * Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. * Work may occasionally require travel to other UPH campuses. #RNpositionsQC *Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs.
