Overview:
Registered Nurse
* Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, no weekends, no holidays and no call
* Location: Medical Park Hospital, Winston-Salem, NC
Novant Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to work with the Surgery Navigation team for a Monday through Friday schedule. This RN will work with patients to review pre op instructions and provide education about their surgery.
Responsibilities:
* Meet with patients before their upcoming, scheduled procedures
* Review patients medical history
* Provide education to patients before surgery
* Travel to different clinics within the region as needed
Qualifications:
* Education:
* If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course, required.
* 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
* Experience:
* One year relevant experience, preferred.
* Licensure/Certification:
* Current RN Licensure in appropriate state, required.
* Advanced certifications as required per facility, required.
* Additional Skills (required):
* Appropriate customer service, effective and appropriate customer relations, verbal and non-verbalcommunication techniques, interpersonal relationship skills, conflict resolution, critical thinking and computer literacy. Advanced training as required by department.
