Overview: $10,000 Sign-On Bonus Shift: Monday-Friday; 5:00 AM-1:30 PM/6:30 AM-3:00 PM + Call As a member of the interdisciplinary care team, the nurse contributes professional knowledge and clinical expertise in the delivery and management of care for patients and their families. Nurses maintain a practice environment that reflects the ANA Code of Ethics, the UnityPoint Health Philosophy of Nursing, and the Professional Nurse Practice Model, working collaboratively with all caregivers. Across our three Quad Cities campuses, Surgical Services features 16 operating rooms, two dedicated open-heart suites, and two specialized urology rooms. Our facilities are equipped to support a wide range of surgical procedures, including cardiothoracic, vascular, robotics, orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, neurosurgery, urology, podiatry, and cataract surgery. This comprehensive surgical environment offers advanced technology, diverse case exposure, and a strong interdisciplinary team dedicated to exceptional patient care. Responsibilities: * Delivers high quality care utilizing the nursing process while demonstrating knowledge and clinical skills of the specialty required on assigned unit in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards of care. * Consults appropriate resources within the hospital to provide specialized education. * Demonstrates knowledge that patient and workplace safety is a priority by preventing errors, accidents and infections and reporting potential or actual concerns immediately. * Promptly completes documentation to assure an accurate legal record of patient's care. * Continues professional development and involvement in professional activities that enhance nursing practice by sharing knowledge through networking and research. Qualifications: Education: * Diploma from an RN program. License(s)/Certification(s): * Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state. * Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state. * Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. * Must possess and maintain ACLS *Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs.
