Responsibilities:

CHI St. Alexius Health Devils Lake is seeking a dedicated Obstetrics (OB) Registered Nurse to join our compassionate Maternity team.

What You'll Do:
As an OB Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Providing comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecological patients.
* Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for laboring women, ensuring a safe and comfortable birth experience.
* Monitoring fetal heart tones, interpreting EFM tracings, and managing labor progression.
* Assisting with and circulating during Caesarean sections.
* Providing expert care to newborns, including initial assessments, newborn stabilization, and feeding support.
* Educating new parents on newborn care, breastfeeding, recovery, and discharge instructions.
* Administering medications safely and accurately, adhering to facility policies and procedures.
* Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation of all patient care.
* Collaborating effectively with physicians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members.
* Responding to emergent situations with calm and skilled intervention.
* Championing patient and family-centered care.

Qualifications:
* Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing.
* Associate of Science in Nursing
* Active North Dakota (ND) Registered Nurse License, compact state RN licensure accepted.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association (AHA).
* NRP to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Preferred:
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
* Pedieatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
