Now Hiring: 2026 New Graduate Nurses - RN Residency Program

UnityPoint Health is seeking 2026 new graduate nurses with anticipated graduation dates in May, August, or December 2026 to join our RN Residency Program. This 12-month structured program is designed to support your transition into professional nursing practice while building strong clinical, critical thinking, and leadership skills.

Position Overview

The RN Residency Program provides new graduate nurses with the training, education, and support needed to successfully transition into a clinical role. Residents will participate in structured learning experiences, hands-on training, and ongoing professional development while working alongside experienced healthcare teams.

Compensation & Benefits
* Starting pay: $32.73/hour
* Shift differentials:
* Evenings (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM): +$5.00/hour
* Nights (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM): +$7.50/hour

* Student Stipend Program: UnityPoint Health offers a student stipend of $2,000/month for up to 6 months prior to licensure to support you as you transition from student to RN.
* $10,000 sign-on bonus

Qualifications
* Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
* RN licensure (or eligibility) by start date
* BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)

Responsibilities:

  Participation in this program is a part of the regular work assignment.

  Connect with other new graduate nurses from across all care areas within the hospital setting.

  Opportunities to develop evidence-based practice improvements that directly impact your care area.

  Ongoing continuing education and professional development opportunities.

  Dedicated nurse educators are available both during and following the program.

  Monthly cohort meetings

  Monthly self paced program content

  Completion of Residency Project

Qualifications:

Education:

* Diploma from an RN program.

License(s)/Certification(s):

* Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state.
* Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state.

* Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
