Position Summary:
The RN is a licensed professional care giver who assumes responsibility and accountability for groups of patients in multiple nursing units for designated time frames and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members.

* Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other practitioners as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
* Monitors medical condition of patients and reports changes to appropriate personnel.
* Reports abnormal diagnostic data to physician/shift coordinator/supervisor as appropriate.
* Demonstrates ability to perform technical nursing procedures/skills of patient care competently, seeking assistance when appropriate.
* Implements patient histories, assesses patients' conditions, and develops individualized care plans for assigned patients. Documents on care plans as patient care evolves, including resolution of problems.
* Assesses patient educational needs and barriers to learning. Implements multidisciplinary patient education care plan and documents patient teaching.

* Registered Nurse Education/ New Graduate OK,
* Registered Nurse: CA,
* Basic Life Support - CPR
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Preferred
* Bachelors Of Science Nursing and Acute care RN experience
