Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Observation Unit (Night Shift)
Location: Forsyth Medical Center - Winston-Salem, NC
Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM | 2 shifts per week | Rotating weekends
Department: Emergency Observation Unit (30-bed unit)

The Emergency Observation Unit, under the Umbrella of the Emergency Department at Forsyth Medical Center is seeking a talented, compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our 30-bed unit caring for patients who require short-term monitoring and evaluation, typically for 1-2 nights, but do not yet meet criteria for inpatient admission. Patients admitted to the EOU often need additional testing, treatment, or observation to determine the next step in their care. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering exceptional patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive and focused assessments of patients with acute and life-threatening conditions.
* Prioritize and deliver evidence-based nursing interventions, treatments, and medication administration.
* Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition.
* Work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care.
* Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team regarding treatment plans and outcomes.
Qualifications:
* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
* Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
* Current valid North Carolina nursing license or Multi-State/Compact required.
* One-year relevant experience, preferred.
