				Overview:

Located on the sixth floor of St. Francis, the 13-bed inpatient rehabilitation area offers care that focuses on improving a patient's mobility and independence through physical, occupational, and speech therapies. St. Francis sees patients dealing with the physical effects of stroke, fractures, arthritis, cardiac surgery, or neurological diseases such as Parkinson's disease.

CHI Health St. Francis was established in Grand Island, Nebraska. in 1887. Today our hospital is a regional referral center with more than 100 physicians and more than 1,100 employees working together to build a healthier community. Our goal is to provide patients with high-quality medical care close to home where they can be supported by their family friends and community.

Responsibilities:

As our Inpatient Rehab Nurse at St. Francis Medical Center, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, your ultimate goal is restoring your patients' health, so they have the ability to care for themselves. Along with physicians and other members of your rehab team, you will go along on the patients' journey, providing care and education so they can resume their lives at home with their families.

* Carefully monitor patients for changes in neurological status or other conditions
* Prepare patients for various speech, physical, occupational or respiratory therapies they have scheduled each day.
* Educate the patient and caregivers on how to continue certain care at home.
* Identify opportunities for improvement in care plans and on the rehab unit

Compensation: Base rate + shift differential

Incentives: up to $6,000 sign-on bonus

Qualifications:

* Graduate of an accredited nursing program 
* Active RN license in the state of Nebraska or nurse licensure compact. 
* Basic Life Support(BLS) through American Heart Association
