Responsibilities:
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.
Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. * Ensures that the patient is properly introduced to the unit & his/her surroundings within one hour after arrival in unit.
* Assesses the patient's admission status & documents this on the admission form & critical care record within 2 hours of arrival to unit.
* Reflects physiological condition & psychosocial needs of the patient. Reflects perceptions of patient and/or significant others of his/her health problem(s) & his/her expectations of the present hospitalization.
* Uses observational & interviewing skills to perform a priority patient assessment every shift.
* Makes rounds & documents patient's status on critical care record at least every 2 hours. Every hour for 1:1 ratio (i.e., CABG or ventilated patient).
* Identifies abnormal diagnostic data.
Qualifications:
Required
* Graduate of an accredited RN program
* Registered Nurse: CA RN license
* Basic Life Support - CPR BLS
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support - ACLS, within 90 Days
Preferred
* One to two years ICCU experience
