Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

The Emergency Department RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for one, two, or more patients ranging in age from newborn to geriatric. Responsibility is for an assigned time frame and the Emergency Department RN will provide safe, therapeutic care for these patients by the use of the patient care process, by her/his self, the environment, and other health care team members with the use of multidisciplinary processes.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

* Current CA RN licensure
* One year recent critical care or emergency department experience required (may consider training if current staff skillset and experience allows) 
* Working knowledge of basic dysrhythmia 
* Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
* Verbal and written communication skills and computer skills required

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
* Advanced dysrhythmia interpretation
