What you can expect from this role

* 27 bed unit with 5 chest pain beds
* Pediatric Level 2 Trauma Center
* Team-based nursing model (1:4-6 ratio)
* Self-scheduling unit in 6 week blocks
* Dedicated ED pharmacist and 24-hour social worker
* Continuing education scholarships - including conferences, certification, licensure
* Safe working environment reinforced by all team members
* Work as Team Lead ED RN, but expertise in Mental Health
* May do chart audits for restraint documentation
* Certification pay available
* Additional PTO for night shift offered
* Full-time (0.9 FTE), night shift opening; 1930-0800.  Will have 12 hours of admin time/month

Qualifications:

* Education: Bachelor's of Nursing Degree
* Experience: 3 years' RN experience; Emergency and Behavioral Health nursing experience highly preferred
* Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities:

The Lead Registered Nurse is responsible for providing technical/clinical support to one or more departments/sites.

* identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

* Responsible for ensuring patient care needs are met through effective management of staffing resources and operations.

* Assists or May be Responsible for scheduling, communication, and clinical decision making. Works with staff to promote resolution of conflicts and counsels staff when clinical practice standards are not met.

* Assists with budget planning and clinical needs assessments.

* Responsible for training or assignment of training.

* Manages care of patients.

* Documents care Based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/ or clinical priorities

* Advocates for evidence-Based practice care standards and Supports adoption of evidence-Based practices and innovations in care delivery.

* Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.

* other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
