Are you a Registered Nurse searching for a new opportunity! The ED Nurse is a critical team member working side by side with ED providers, Medics to treats patients who are facing traumatic or severe, often life-threatening medical conditions. An ER nurse's primary responsibility is to identify medical issues, determine severity, and provide immediate support to minimize negative long-term effects and, if necessary, even sustain life. An ER nurse is one of the first responders when a patient is admitted to the emergency room.

This position is eligible for the Northern New Mexico differential of $4.00 per hour. (This differential may be adjusted or discontinued based on business requirements.)

Responsibilities:
* Provide direct patient care: assess, plan, implement, evaluate, document.
* Collaborate with patient, family, and healthcare team for coordinated care.
* Perform assessments and document findings per unit standards.
* Follow protocols, administer medications, and treatments as prescribed.
* Identify patient and family learning/discharge needs throughout care.
* Monitor patient progression toward outcomes and document accordingly.
* Respond competently in emergency situations.
* Delegate tasks based on team member competency.
* Supervise LPNs and non-licensed personnel.
* Provide leadership and validate patient care.
* Assist with procedures, treatments, and surgical techniques.
* Complete age-specific education and competency training.
* Demonstrate psychomotor skill competency.
* Support new staff and students, serving as a mentor and role model.
* Uphold nursing standards and professional care structures.
* Integrate PHS mission and DON philosophies into care.
* Take on leadership roles like relief charge nurse.
* Complete mandatory training (BLS, safety, infection control, etc.).
* Maintain professional conduct, dress code, and ID badge.
* Document continuing education and participate in unit governance.
* Communicate effectively with patients, peers, and healthcare teams.
* Engage in quality improvement initiatives.
* Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
* Meet all licensure, competency, and in-service requirements.
* Adhere to safety and equipment policies.
Qualifications:
* ADN/BSN/MSN
* NM State or Multistate License
* BLS required at time of hire
