Responsibilities:
Join CHI Health CUMC-Bergan Mercy as an Emergency Department RN Clinical Educator and become a frontline nurse leader, driving excellence in clinical nursing care and fostering the professional growth of our dedicated nursing staff. You'll be a key player in implementing education initiatives aligned with the CHI Health Nursing Strategic Plan and Vision, acting as a change agent, mentor, and champion for interdisciplinary teamwork and evidence-based practice.
Your Impact:
* Elevate Clinical Practice: Assess, research, coordinate, and evaluate educational and professional development programs, services, and systems, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our Emergency Department nurses.
* Be a Role Model and Mentor: Serve as a role model, clinical nursing expert, change agent, mentor, and leader, inspiring and guiding nurses to achieve their full potential.
* Drive Innovation: Actively seek out and implement evidence-based practices, contributing to clinical excellence and innovation in emergency nursing education.
* Champion Quality Improvement: Provide clinical expertise and leadership to quality improvement initiatives, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care.
* Facilitate Seamless Transitions: Coordinate and facilitate nursing transitions to practice and ongoing professional development through support of central onboarding, clinical orientation, nurse residency, fellowships, competency assessment, and preceptor and mentor programs.
* Develop Cutting-Edge Resources: Contribute to the development and maintenance of innovative educational tools and resources, integrating adult learning theories, organizational development principles, and a systems approach.
* Shape the Future of Emergency Nursing: Play a vital role in shaping the future of emergency nursing by empowering nurses with the knowledge, skills, and competencies they need to excel.
* Influence System-Wide Initiatives: Serve as a consultant for organizational, divisional, and system initiatives and program development related to nursing practice.

Qualifications:
* BSN required. Master's Degree in Nursing or completion of MSN program within 5 years of start date.
* Active RN licensure in the state of Nebraska, Iowa, or nurse licensure compact.
* Basic life support is required upon hire through the American Heart Association.
* Nursing education experience demonstrating progressive experience in the development and implementation of clinical education programs.
* Minimum three years relevant nursing experience.
