As an RN Clinical Coordinator you will actively support the department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit. You will not serve as a supervisor or manager; instead serve as a clinical nurse and resource to the staff, authorize work procedures and assign duties, shift charge, as well as: 

* Demonstrating strong clinical judgment and ensuring high-quality care delivery to each patient.
* Acting as a vital link between physicians and the patient care team to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration.
* Maintaining communication and promote cooperation with unit staff and other departments. 
* Provides input and recommendations to the director/manager on coaching, mentoring and performance management of associates. 
* Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
* Act as a professional role model for all staff by demonstrating ethical/legal/professional nursing.
* Promotes the optimal health, well-being, and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act. 
* Actively serves on unit as a registered nurse and may take patient assignments based on unit and patient needs and acuity.
* Being personally, accountable for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

**Previous OR experience with Ortho/ Sports Medicine cases preffered**

**1 year OR Experience Required**

Day to Day: 

* Sports Medicine service line leaad 
* Ensure assignments for staff meet the daily need. 
* Schedule the next day's assignments, communicate case changes to staff, support, and coach staff to build confidence and growth.
* Hold staff accountable to policy and high standard of practice.
* Collaborate with SPD to have equipment and instrumentation ready for case schedule. 
* Assist in the development and implementation of educational programs/ practices for department associates. 
* Act as leadership within the department to support staff, Manager and Director.
* Circulate Joint, Spine and Sports Medicine cases.
* This position will also be eligible for the Clinical Ladder.

OR Suites-8 OR Suites, 11 Pre-Op Beds, 10 PACU Bays, 48 Inpatient Beds

Approx. 400-450+ cases per month

Schedule: 40hrs/wk. Variable shift times per surgical volume and current unit needs.

Schedule is made every 6 weeks by the manager

No surgeries on holidays or weekends.Like a Surgery center. No weekends no nights. No Call!!

No Call!! 'Late Stay' is required and scheduled in advance -Sign up for first second or 3rd room late stay. Min 10 late stays in 6 weeks.

Qualifications:

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: 

Education

* Associates Degree in Nursing (Nursing Diploma or by endorsement) required 
* BSN, preferred

Licensure

* RN License to practice in state of employment as applicable, required
* Nursing Specialty Certification, preferred

Experience

* Minimum of 1 year of direct clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.

Physical Requirements 

* Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
