The Medical Intensive Care Unit at Longmont United Hospital is a Medical/Surgical ICU department with 16 beds. We see a variety of trauma patients (GI bleeds, post MI patients requiring support devices or medication) and anyone in need of critical care, we also provide house telemetry overflow as needed. Our department's mission is to foster evidenced-based knowledge and education advancement, delivering the best care to our patients and their families

As the ICU Registered Nurse Clinical Coordinator at Longmont United Hospital you will actively support department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit including shift charge, department and/or service line. Ensure that care is delivered to each patient in accordance with quality standards. Act as liaison between physicians and patient care team. Maintain communication and promote cooperation with unit staff and other departments. Supervise the staff; authorize work procedures and assign duties. Provides input and recommendations to the director/manager on coaching, mentoring and performance management of associates. Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act. Personally, accountable for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

Qualifications:

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: 

* Required Experience:
* One year experience preferred
* Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty.

* Required Education:
* Nursing Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required
* Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred

* Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RN's

* Required Licensure/Certifications:
* RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact, 
* Colorado Only: RNs working in Colorado under a multi-state license must obtain their CO RN license within 30 days of establishing residency, i.e., drivers license, register to vote, etc. Compact to Compact. * BLS from the American Heart Association required
* ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC or TCAR within 6 months of hire or transfer

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
