RN-Cardiac Cath Lab

				Overview:

Sign-On Bonus: $10,000

Shift: Full-time, (4) 9 hour shifts working 6:45 am - 4:15 pm, for 72 hours per pay period. This position requires on-call for 50% of the month. 

UnityPoint Health - Finley Hospital is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiac Catheterization Lab team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, highly specialized environment providing life-saving cardiovascular care.

Responsibilities:

* Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and stent placements

* Prepare patients pre-procedure and monitor them post-procedure for complications

* Assist physicians and the interdisciplinary team during procedures

* Administer medications and moderate sedation per hospital protocols

* Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic status

* Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety at all times

* Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions

* Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record

* Participate in on-call rotation as required

Qualifications:

Education: 

* Graduate of accredited nursing program. Must obtain BSN within 12 years of hire

Experience: 

* One (1) year of experience in a critical care setting

Certification/License: 

* Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa
* Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within three (3) months from date of hire
* Must possess and maintain current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification or within one (1) year from date of hire
