Responsibilities:
Here's an overview of the Bariatric/Orthopedic Program Coordinator's responsibilities at Marian Regional Medical Center.
Responsibilities include coordinating bariatric and orthopedic services, which includes services provided with bariatric surgeries and total joint replacement surgery, in addition to any other assigned duties. The coordinator needs experience in the following areas:
* Acute care joint replacement
* Scheduling
* Insurance authorizations
* Pre-surgery tests
* Patient education events
* Nursing and transport in-service trainings
* Pre-admission
* Data tracking
* Management and quality improvement activities

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
* Current California Registered Nurse
* 3 to 5 years of surgery experience and/or medical surgical floor nurse experience providing post-surgical care to patients.
* BSN - Registered Nurse with Bachelor's degree
* Current CPR BLS Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
* Previous experience working with total joint replacement surgery preferred.
* Nursing Master's degree preferred
