Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, no weekends or holidays
We are seeking an experienced RN Lead to join a dynamic multi-specialty pediatric clinic supporting four key service lines: Pediatric Endocrinology, Pediatric Infectious Disease, Pediatric Nephrology, and Pediatric Genetics. This role is ideal for a clinically strong nurse leader with hands-on pediatric experience, including proficiency in IV placement, blood draws, and diabetes management. The RN Lead will play a critical role in coordinating care across specialties, supporting clinical excellence, and ensuring a high standard of patient-centered care for a diverse pediatric population.
In partnership with the clinic administrator, ensures implementation and success of NHMG goals, organizes and directs the clinical environment, and coordinates teams to assure effective care is given to provide quality patient care in physician practices.
The Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, delegate and evaluate an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health or supports creating an environment that allows team members to be present with patients and families. The Registered Nurse utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey. The Registered Nurse accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Job responsibilities include:
* Process and manage prior authorizations to ensure timely approval of medications, procedures, and services
* Maintain clinic and laboratory compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and best practices
* Oversee vaccine management, including inventory control, storage, handling, and documentation
* Perform patient triage, assessing symptoms and prioritizing care needs appropriately
* Manage in-basket messaging, including responding to patient inquiries, coordinating care, and communicating with providers and care teams
Qualifications:
* Education: Associates degree OR Bachelor's degree in Nursing, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
* Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
* Additional Skills Required: Excellent human relation skills, possess effective oral and written communication skills, possess leadership and problem solving skills, operate personal computer.
