UnityPoint Health - Des Moines is offering a $20,000 sign-on bonus for full-time eligible RNs (Including Residents) hired or offered into acute inpatient roles between April 1 and July 31, 2026, paid in milestone-based installments. Relocation Assistance: Up to $10,000 for full-time offers when relocating more than 50 miles. At UnityPoint Health-Des Moines, the Internal Resource Team (IRT) is where skilled RNs bring their expertise to the areas that need it most. As a member of this dynamic team, you'll step into critical moments-supporting nursing units during vacancies, periods of high acuity, and shifts in patient census-ensuring exceptional care continues without interruption. The IRT serves 17 adult Medical/Surgical inpatient units across Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Iowa Lutheran Hospital, and Methodist West Hospital, giving nurses the opportunity to experience diverse units, sharpen their clinical skills, and make a measurable impact wherever they go. Responsibilities: * Provides and coordinates nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process. * Completes documentation to assure an accurate record of patient's care. * Utilizes critical thinking in making independent judgments, and maintains responsibility for the knowledge of conditions of assigned patients. * Collaborates with physicians and other professionals in planning and implementing care within hospital policy and legal limitations. * Assesses needs of patients and families, provides appropriate teaching to facilitate discharge planning, and makes the necessary referrals to community agencies to provide continuity of care. * Demonstrates professional development by keeping abreast of current nursing practice and healthcare trends. Qualifications: Education: * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or IA Board of Nursing approved nursing program. License(s)/Certification(s): * Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa Experience: * Minimum of 12 months acute RN experience. * All newly licensed RNs or RNs with less than 12 months of acute RN experience and who are interested in this department or any other Acute RN role within UnityPoint Health - Des Moines, are encouraged and required to participate in the RN Residency program.
