				Overview:

Surpassing network limitations of the past, our Wireless Development team is building and enhancing the country's first cloud-native, standalone 5G wireless network. This is the foundation of a connected world flexible enough to satisfy all the social, economic and transformative needs of today and the future.

Responsibilities:

Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview, which may include a live whiteboarding or technical assessment session.

* Apply advanced RF design expertise for new and existing 5G ORAN macro and small cell networks, including RFDS creation, PCI planning, candidate selection, site walks, and propagation modeling and tuning using tools like Planet.

* Collaborate with national teams to test and implement new RAN features, tune RAN database parameters, and dimension cloud-based DU/CU configurations for 5G deployments.

* Optimize 5G Cloud ORAN networks for VoLTE and data performance by adjusting network parameters, balancing traffic and frequency layers, improving QoS, analyzing neighbor relations, and enhancing KPIs.

* Perform regular audits of PCI, neighbor relations, and golden parameters; monitor network KPIs; identify anomalies; and troubleshoot issues with cross-functional teams including NOC, national RF, and core RF.

* Support escalations by identifying site-specific technical issues, assisting customer support and sales teams, and conducting drive testing, ATP, and 911 testing with detailed analysis of Layer 3 messages.

* Work independently with minimal supervision while staying current on evolving RF technologies, engineering standards, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (BSEE/BSCS) prefered, or 5+ years relevant hands-on experience in 5G/LTE RF performance and optimization, preferably with a major wireless carrier or OEM.

* Strong knowledge of 4G/5G and NR technologies, including Open RAN architecture, RF link budget management, macro/small cell/DAS design, and proficiency with planning tools like Planet or Atoll.

* Skilled in RF optimization using tools such as XCAP, ACTIX, Windcatcher, and DT measurement tools; familiar with KPI monitoring platforms like TPIM or Onedata and OSS tools including NETACT and ELEMENT.

* Deep understanding of 5G OSS parameters, Layer 3 call flows, interference analysis, and drive test post-processing, with the ability to identify network issues and recommend solutions that improve KPIs.

* Effective communicator across all levels; able to present technical findings to small groups, work cross-functionally, and contribute to process improvement and customer satisfaction initiatives.

* Proficient in data sourcing, scripting, and macro creation; flexible and team-oriented; must possess (or be able to obtain) a valid U.S. driver's license and be able to perform occasional site visits and carry equipment up to 20 lbs.

Ability to maintain driving eligibility under company motor vehicle policies.
