				Overview:

Surpassing network limitations of the past, our Wireless Development team is building and enhancing the country's first cloud-native, standalone 5G wireless network. This is the foundation of a connected world flexible enough to satisfy all the social, economic and transformative needs of today and the future.

Responsibilities:

Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview, which may include a live whiteboarding or technical assessment session.

Key Responsibilities:

* Leverage advanced expertise in RF design for 5G ORAN macro and small cell networks to perform RFDS creation, PCI planning, site candidate selection, site walks, and propagation modeling/tuning using tools like Planet.

* Collaborate with national teams on new RAN feature testing, RAN database parameter tuning, and determining equipment/power configurations, including cloud-based DU/CU dimensioning.

* Optimize 5G Cloud ORAN networks for VoLTE and data by adjusting network parameters, balancing traffic/frequency layers, improving QoS, analyzing and correcting neighbor relations, and driving KPI improvements.

* Conduct regular audits of PCI, neighbor lists, and golden parameters; monitor KPIs to detect anomalies; and troubleshoot issues with NOC, operations, and RF teams to ensure performance stability.

* Resolve site-specific technical issues, support customer escalations, and assist with testing activities (drive testing, ATP, 911), including analysis of Layer 3 messages to identify and correct RF problems.

* Operate independently with minimal supervision while staying current on evolving RF standards and technologies, contributing to continuous network improvement and innovation.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

* A technical degree such as BSEE/BSCS is required and relevant work experience in RF performance and optimization on 5G/LTE working experience with a major wireless carrier or OEM desired
* Experience with the following highly desired: 5G Open RAN architecture to design, integrate and optimize networks
* Cellular/Mobile Technology knowledge in 4G/5G and NR theory and practical experience

Skills and Qualifications:

* Demonstrated ability to identify network performance gaps and contribute to process improvements that enhance customer experience; skilled in analyzing and presenting data to stakeholders at all levels, with preferred experience in scripting and macro creation.

* Strong team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills, a positive attitude, and the flexibility to support team decisions and ideas; comfortable presenting to small groups and collaborating cross-functionally.

* Proficient in RF design and optimization for macro, DAS, indoor/outdoor small cell networks, with hands-on experience managing RF KPIs and maintaining link budgets for 3GPP technologies.

* Experienced with RF optimization tools such as XCAP, ACTIX, Windcatcher; DT tools; KPI monitoring systems like TPIM and Onedata; and OSS platforms including NETACT and ELMENT.

* Deep understanding of 5G OSS parameters, Layer 3 call flows, and the ability to adjust network settings to improve KPIs; skilled in drive test post-processing, frequency planning, interference analysis, and use of tools like Accuver and Windcatcher.

* Familiar with equipment co-location requirements and experienced in intermodulation and interference analysis; must have or be able to quickly obtain a U.S. driver's license and pass a motor vehicle check; able to conduct occasional site visits and lift equipment up to 20 lbs.

Ability to maintain driving eligibility under company motor vehicle policies.
