				Overview:

The purpose of this position is to support the research objectives of the clinical research department. This position works with patients, sponsor representatives, physician investigators, and other research staff to facilitate clinical research trials. Responsible for coordinating the operations of multiple clinical research trials. Facilitates and assists the providers and study team in providing excellent service and quality patient care. Performs and coordinates patient care activities in multiple settings utilizing a variety of nursing skills and functions.

Position Reports To: Research Manager

Responsibilities:

* Provide leadership, daily direction, and supervision to the health care team in the delivery of quality patient care. Communicate effectively with each team member.
* Coordinate patient flow and assist health care team to provide patient care.
* Coordinate patient follow-up and education.
* Serve as a resource and decision maker for staff regarding patient care problems and participate in training of health care staff.
* Serve as a liaison with other health care agencies or services to promote coordinated health care across the continuum.
* Will function as the project manager for multiple clinical trials.
* Develop and execute a plan for how each study is to be conducted.

* Prepare for the clinical trial before site initiation.
* Oversee the enrollment of qualified subjects into the study.
* Maintain direct & immediate patient contact throughout the length of the study.
* Follow the visits and procedures outlined in the study protocol.
* Provide accurate investigational product accountability.
* Acquire, process, and ship biological specimens.
* Handle resolution of queries related to study data.
* Complete the study close-out visit.
* Archive the study data per sponsor and FDA guidelines.
* Function as a liaison to the sponsor during monitoring visits and audits.
* Completes recruitment initiatives through prescreening and contacting patients.

* Responsible for the maintenance, preparation, administration, and accountability of experimental drugs and other medications stored in the department.
* Keep current on required study training and certifications, including, but not limited to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) & IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR).
* Travel to investigator meetings and other sponsor-related meetings as required.
* Required to maintain active Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

* Current LPN licensure in the state of Washington (RCW 18.88) or licensure through Multistate Nurse Licensure Compact (SSB 5499).
* Proficient clinical skills performing phlebotomy, injections, and electrocardiograms.
* Professional interpersonal, written, and oral communication.
* Excellent computer skills.

Desired:

* Bachelors' Degree.
* Prior clinical research experience.
* Prior experience working with oncology patients.
* Bilingual (Spanish language) with the ability to pass a Fluency Evaluation with a chosen CH vendor.
