Responsibilities: Medical Billing - Revenue Cycle - Payor Verification Government Payors Work Location: Remote or On-Site Hourly Pay: $16 This position is bonus eligible Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm (CST) JOB SUMMARY The Medical Billing - Revenue Cycle - Payor Verification Government Payors representative works with payor portals and payors via telephone to verify benefits, deductibles, and out-of-pocket amounts. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES * Solve problems, research, and coordinate benefit issues. * Work as team member to meet team and departmental goals and deadlines. * Utilize payor portals and telephone for benefit verification. * Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. * Analyze work processes to maximize efficiency. QUALIFICATIONS Required Experience: * Minimum of one (1) year of medical billing experience including payor verification and/or communicating with payors directly * Experience of computers and related technology, at an intermediate level * Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 including Excel and Word * Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to make timely decisions * Ability to work independently with little or no direction and as an active member of the Preferred Experience: * Minimum of one (1) year working in a call center environment * Minimum of one (1) year working in a customer service position. * Above average knowledge of government insurance billing guidelines and policies * Experience with payer portals and online eligibility inquiries Preferred Education: * High school diploma * GED * Or significant, relevant work experience Why Choose Air Evac Lifeteam?
