We are looking for a hands-on Software Architect to architect, design, develop, and debug software for next-generation CXL and PCIe Gen6/Gen7 protocol solutions.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role in a small team. The architect will define the software architecture while also writing production code, developing complex features, debugging issues, optimizing performance, and working closely with FPGA and hardware teams.

Responsibilities:

* Define and own software architecture for CXL and PCIe Gen6/Gen7 protocol solutions.
* Design and develop high-performance software using C++ and C#.
* Develop complex application and system software features hands-on.
* Translate product requirements and protocol specifications into software architecture and implementation.
* Work closely with FPGA and hardware teams for hardware/software integration and platform bring-up.
* Debug complex software, hardware/software integration, and protocol-related issues.
* Design multithreaded, concurrent, and performance-critical software.
* Support system validation, performance optimization, and product bring-up.
* Evaluate and integrate software libraries and external components where required.
* Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers while continuing to contribute production code.
* Use AI/ML and AI-assisted development tools to improve software productivity, code quality, debugging, testing, automation, and customer experience.

Qualifications:

Essential

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field.
* 8+ years of software product development experience.
* Strong expertise in CXL and/or PCIe protocol architecture.
* Strong hands-on experience with modern C++.
* Experience with C# / WPF for professional engineering applications.
* Strong understanding of OOP, software architecture, and design patterns.
* Experience with multithreading, concurrency, debugging, and performance optimization.
* Experience developing software that interacts with FPGA and custom hardware.
* Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred

* Strong experience with PCIe Gen6/Gen7, CXL, and/or NVMe.
* Experience with protocol analyzers, exercisers, validation platforms, or similar high-speed protocol tools.
* Experience with FPGA-based systems and hardware/software integration.
* Experience with PCI-SIG standards or compliance activities.
* Experience using AI/ML or GenAI for software development, automation, analysis, debugging, or productivity improvement.
* Experience with Git, CI/CD, Jira, Confluence, and Agile/Scrum.
* Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives.
