Overview:
Located in Pilot Point, Texas, Western Son Distillery operates out of a historic, repurposed factory just north of the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Responsibilities:
Western Son Distillery is looking for a hands-on Quality Supervisor to lead food safety and quality systems in a fast-paced beverage manufacturing environment. This role is central to building a strong culture of quality, ensuring regulatory compliance, and partnering with operations to continuously improve processes. You'll have a direct impact on product integrity, customer satisfaction, and overall operational performance while developing a high-performing quality team.
What You'll Do
* Lead quality and food safety programs to ensure compliance with FDA, TTB, and third-party standards
* Supervise, coach, and develop quality team members through training and performance management
* Manage HACCP plans, audits, and inspections; serve as primary contact for internal and external audits
* Partner with operations to investigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions
* Track and improve quality KPIs, including complaints, defects, and product holds.
Qualifications:
Required:
* Bachelor's degree required
* 3+ years of quality or food safety experience in a food and/or beverage manufacturing environment
* Strong knowledge of food safety systems, regulatory compliance, and quality standards
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
Preferred:
* Food safety certification or experience with global food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, etc.)
* Prior supervisory or team leadership experience
* Experience with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
Physical Requirements
* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance
* Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying conditions and extended periods of standing or walking
* Ability to work an 8-hour shift and overtime as needed
