Responsibilities:
A Quality Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring that products meet certain standards of quality. Here are some of the key responsibilities:
* Quality Control Systems: Establishing and maintaining quality control systems to ensure products meet required specifications .
* Testing and Inspection: Implementing methods to inspect, test, and evaluate the reliability of manufacturing processes, products, and production equipment .
* Data Analysis: Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data to prepare reports on quality performance .
* Compliance: Ensuring that processes adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements .
* Problem-Solving: Identifying defects, determining their causes, and providing solutions to prevent recurrence .
* Documentation: Creating and maintaining quality documentation, including quality manuals, procedures, and inspection reports .
* Continuous Improvement: Proactively recommending and implementing improvements to enhance product durability and performance .
Quality Engineers often work closely with various departments, such as production, engineering, and support, to ensure a collaborative approach to quality management
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in engineering - Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or a related field.
* 2 to 4 years of experience in a quality engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing or regulated industry.
Skills & Competencies
* Strong understanding of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, 8D, DMAIC).
* Familiarity with quality standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
* Proficient in using quality software tools and performing data analysis (e.g., Minitab, Power BI, Excel).
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
* Capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing work in a fast-paced environment.
