				Overview:

 A specialty packaging company for concrete, mortars and aggregates, is seeking entry-level QC Pigment Sampling Technician for an open position in their QC/QA Laboratory.  Minimum qualifications include:

1.     Some experience working with computerized weighing equipment, electronic scales or balances, concrete testing apparatus

2.     Willing to lift 60-80 lbs, standing for at least 85% of the time

3.     Can follow written (computerized) instructions without direct supervision

4.     Is willing to work in a collaborative environment which promotes opportunities and incentives to learn, develop and grow

We offer a competitive hourly wage and benefit package up to $17 per hour.

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):

         Performs pigment weighing using sophisticated computerized equipment

         Weighing, measuring and mixing ingredients

         Calibrates all critical weighing heads prior to startup of pigment operations

         Able to read and identify codes to specific colored pigments

         Maintains and responds when consumables for color batching and weighing operations are needed

         Enters and processes testing data into QC databases

         Moves, stacks and stages all specialty additives and pigments so that products are available to each batching station

         Labels and arranges post-weighed pigment bags in orderly array on pallets for delivery to the Plant

         Ensures that all product is within specification before leaving pigment batching facility to avoid any performance failure or product liability

         Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, including participation in a respirator and hearing conservation program

         Ability to commit to extended work hours during peak workdays

         Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Considered experience include:

High School or GED

Must have strong attention to detail

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

Strong teamwork skills

Forklift experience desired
